Bromley Veterans Athletics Club

Bromley Veterans Athletics Club, founded in 1989, is a small & friendly club based at The Parklangley Club in Beckenham. We welcome people aged 30 years and over of ALL abilities, from beginners and slower runners to faster paced and seasoned athletes. We run for enjoyment but also participate in a variety of competitive events, organise training sessions and social occasions. Our distinctive blue and gold club vest is regularly seen at local and national races and athletics competitions.

Social Event 28th July

We are organising a social meal at Tugra in Hayes on 28th July (partners welcome).   We can accomodate around 36 but need to let restaurent know asap.  See social page and contact Pat Cliff  ( ASAP.

Mob Match 11th July

We have again been invited to participate in the annual mob match with Petts Wood Runners and Orpington Road Runners. It's great fun so please come along. Here are the details :

The course is 5.08k long being two x 2.5k mainly offroad laps of the park and a finishing straight along tarmac, and will finish in the centre of Jubilee Park (the same as last year), before the runners retire to the bar and gardens of the nearby Bickley Manor Hotel in Thornet Wood Road for the results and drinks.  BVAC members are asked to park only in Thornet Wood Road, BR1 2LW. Please register in advance - details to follow but please let me Roger know if you intend to participate.  Be there for 7.30pm for 8pm start.

Wine Tasting Quiz! : social and fundraising

24th June is our  wine tasting quiz /social  (with food provided) - no experience necessary.  All you do is taste a few reds and a few whites,  listen to the different descriptions provided by your "expert" hosts (Paul and Roger!) and then guess who was telling the truth!   All in support of charity (Alzheimer's and Tommy's) -see social page but buy tickets from Pat or from Bernie at Handicap on Tuesday or parkrun.
