Kent Fitness League Cross Country Races - occasional Sundays during the Winter Season

Kent Fitness League Cross-Country Meetings 2013/2014
Bromley Veterans has taken part in this league for some years now. The off-road course is always a 5 mile run around beautiful parts of the Kent countryside. All runs start at 11am on a Sunday. It’s a great way to spend Sunday morning, helping to improve your speed over this distance. It costs £2 to enter each race, which is a bargain – and you will be entered into a raffle at the end of the race. If, for any reason a runner is entering as a ‘guest’ (e.g. you have a friend visiting who is not a member of Bromley Vets), the entry fee is £4. This fee increase has been introduced this season; guests are non-scoring.

The first 7 men and the first 3 women finishers in each club score points, depending on their position; all finishers contribute to their club’s position by helping to keep down the scores of runners from other clubs. As well as the overall club competition, there are prizes for the first 5 men and the first 3 women as well as individual winners in each age group at the end of the season. Car-sharing for these meetings can be arranged.

Here are the dates.
1. 20/10/13 Knole Park, Sevenoaks (jun)
2. 10/11/13 Swanley Park, Swanley (jun)
3. 24/11/13 Oxleas Woods, Eltham
4. 29/12/13 Avery Hill Park, New Eltham (jun)
5. 5/1/14 Minnis Bay, Birchington (jun)
6.    2/2/14              Rough Common, Canterbury (jun)
7.    16/2/14            Nurstead Court, Meopham (jun)

16/3/14              Relays and presentations – venue to be announced

(jun) means that there will be a junior race as well as the adult one.
The end of season relays and presentation event is provisionally booked for March 16th 2014, with a venue yet to be arranged.

Members who would like to take part in any of these meetings, please see the members' area for contact details.

More information will be available at http://kfl.canterburyharriers.org/
