Parkrun Cup - third Saturday every month
The Parkrun is a weekly 5k that takes place in Norman Park on Saturday mornings at 09:00. You need
to register via their website (free) then just turn up and run/jog the same course, for free, every
Saturday! Any age group. More info...
For the BVAC Parkrun Cup our runners get 30 points for completing a run, 40 points for improving their age
graded result over their average age graded result for the three previous scoring events (provided only that
they completed at last one of those) and an additional 5 points if the time is a personal best. Points from 10
down to 1 are also be awarded according to the best age graded performances of BVAC runners. We will be
reviewing the way that points are awarded in light of experiences. We want to provide more encouragement and
reward for commitment and improvement as well as quality of overall performance.
