Summer Handicap Series 2017

Summer is on its way!!

Our Summer Handicap Race series begins on Tuesday 4 April. Meet at 6.45pm at the Hayes Lane entrance carpark of Norman Park, at the old bus shelter. (Note that subsequent races will meet at a slightly later time, when we enjoy longer daylight hours)

It's an approx 2mile course, through Norman Park, along the A21, down Hayes Lane and back into Norman Park to the start point. Everyone is welcome! Members are free, guests are asked for a £1 donation to the Clubs' charity.

Runners are "handicapped" based on previous times. Don't worry if you've never done this race before, you will be given a handicap time based on other races/runs you have done.

Everyone starts the race at different times, according to their handicap, with the aim that everyone finishes at around the same time. This way, slower runners are just as likely to come first as faster ones!

As last year, there will be a points competition for the series of 6 races from April - September - it pays to turn up each time!

We look forward to seeing you there!
