Three BVAC members - Barbara Baker, Natalie Price, Janette Burnard - and fellow parkrunner Fiona Byfield (05:56:14) trained together and ran their very first marathon at Eastbourne.
The Beachy Head marathon is a particularly challenging off-road race with its combination of numerous steep hills, together with stiles, kissing gates and steps. Unfortunately, Barbara had to pull out at 21 miles with a hip problem.
